Everyone complains but we did solve it! The Foneka suite of apps, presently comprising FonekaAnnounce and FonekaRugbee makes answering phone calls simple, convenient, intuitive, private, safe and low cost.
FonekaAnnounce
The FonekaAnnounce app makes knowing who is calling without checking your phone easy. The app utilizes our built-in, proprietary phonetic ekalipi script which pronounces each name correctly. All you have to do is, enter the name using the script, select the language of your choice (English and Indian languages are currently supported) and you’re set. And don’t worry you do not have to enter the name for each contact. We have a constantly growing library of names in our database (Currently 50000 names and growing) that will make this task a lot easier. Your name is your identity and that's the one thing that shouldn't be mispronounced. Once FonekaAnnounce has been installed, whenever you get a call, FonekaAnnounce will let you know the name of the caller. If you choose not to answer it (by pressing a button on the phone or your headphone), FonekaAnnounce can send an automated customizable text message to the caller, explaining why.
Another buzzkill that we have solved is spam calling. Nobody likes it and at Foneka, we understand. If you get a call from an unknown number, our application will block it. You might think that other spam blocker apps also do this but we do it better! Imagine your friend has a new number or your bank is trying to contact you urgently. The basic spam blockers simply block the call and you end up missing important calls. FonekaAnnounce, on the other hand, sends a friendly text to the unknown callers asking them to identify themselves. Now, once you added the name to your contact list these callers won’t be blocked. By the way only you decide whether or not the contact is added.

The second app in our suite, FonekaRugbee, leverages the capability of our own inexpensive augmented reality (AR) device called Rugbee (short for Remote Gesture-Based Interface). What’s in it for you! FonekaRugbee allows you to answer a call by just moving your head up and down (akin to nodding your head) or reject a call by just shaking your head from left to right (akin to shaking your head). When you are done talking to the other party, you can end the call with the same intuitive HeadShake. Unlike other expensive and intrusive AR devices, the Rugbee device is tiny and inconspicuous. Instead of being prominently visible on your face, the device can be attached to any accessory of your choice (glasses, headband, wristband, even an anklet.). With FonekaRugbee, you can be notified about your callers' details discreetly, and even talk to them absolutely handsfree!

2. The Bose Frames and the RUGBEE device that you mentioned, does that come with the app?
No, either device has to be purchased separately. Currently, the BOSE AR frames are compatible with our application, and can be purchased from a dealer. We are soon launching our own product, which is currently in testing. This product will have similar features but for a lot less.
3. How do I learn the Ekalipi script?
Visit our website for a full tutorial as well as our YouTube page. Download the appropriate keyboards. Then practice using the keyboard. It’s fun and easy!
4. Is your device compatible with all android phones?
Your phone needs to have Android version 8 or above installed to use the app.
5. Is the payment I make a yearly payment or one time?
You only pay once for the application and the device. Absolutely no recurring fees.
6. Is your application available on the Google play store?
